| The PLS business model is based around sustainability. The use of plastic returnable packaging helps support our environment and our economy. Our Environmental Benefits: Long life span - reduces one way packaging going to land fill due to the removal of one way packaging and the fact that our products can be recycled into new products when they have reached the end of their economic life. Improving hygiene – plastic packaging provides increased hygiene standards when compared to timber and corrugated packaging. Plastic packaging is impervious to infestation and moisture reducing product contamination. Our products are also ISPM 15 compliant easing cross border movements and removing the need for fumigation and heat treatment. Reduced weight - many of our rental products are lighter than the equivalent timber version reducing the transportation weights within the supply chain. This reduces fuel consumption and CO2 emissions accordingly. |
